At Margo Environmental, we understand the needs of our customers and are experts in the environmental consulting industry. Whether that need is environmental due diligence services during a property transaction, removing a newly found underground storage tank, dealing with subsurface contamination, obtaining a stormwater permit, or maybe something else, we have you covered. We have the expertise and experience to identify the appropriate cost-effective solution that will exceed your expectations while keeping your project on schedule.
Margo Environmental is committed to providing premium, timely and cost-effective due diligence products and services to our clients. Understanding the historical use and environmental condition of a parcel of land prior to acquisition, transfer, sale or redevelopment is crucial to our clients during the decision-making process so properties can be safely reused, and risks can be properly managed. Environmental due diligence is a multi-faceted process that generally begins by conducting a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment, followed by additional activities such as soil, groundwater and/or soil gas sampling, if needed. Margo Environmental understands the needs of our clients so informed investment decisions can be made and are capable of assisting with both small and large-scale properties. Unlike most environmental consulting firms, at Margo Environmental, only Environmental Professionals (EPs) will be assigned to your project, which will allow our experience to work for you.

Brownfields are abandoned, underutilized, functionally obsolete or idle properties with known or suspected contamination. Due to the nature of these properties, redevelopment or reuse may be complicated. However, with proper financial planning, private investment and local support, redevelopment presents an excellent opportunity for developers and other entities looking to enhance these properties. Margo Environmental can help developers, municipalities and other entities return these properties to productive uses by leveraging various funding sources such as State grants and loans, tax increment financing and other financial mechanisms.
Vapor intrusion is the process by which vapors from contaminated soil or groundwater migrate into an overlying building, which can present a variety of issues. Vapor intrusion is an ever-changing environmental concern across the industry. Federal and state laws and regulations are constantly changing with respect to vapor intrusion risk management. Margo Environmental possesses the technical knowledge and experience to properly assess properties with vapor concerns that will allow for safe use and to make a determination if mitigation will be needed.
The National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) stormwater program established by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under the Clean Water Act, regulates three sources of stormwater discharge: (1) municipal separate storm sewer systems, (2) industrial activities and (3) construction activities. Some operators are required to obtain coverage prior to discharging stormwater. The purpose of the program is to prevent harmful pollutants from being discharged to local surface waters. Margo Environmental maintains the expertise, training and staff capable of assisting clients with the permitting process and helping operators obtain coverage and maintain compliance.
